Voice notes can get in the bin

This morning I was sitting at my dining room table with an espresso. I could hear the birds chirping, the village church bells in the distance and I thought.

What a peaceful morning

Then out of nowhere I can hear car's, kids, and my girlfriend's friend shouting over all this.

All this is coming through one of those voice notes in Whatsapp.

I don't know about you but I'm not a big fan of the Voice note. At times they can be quick and convenient but a lot of the time they aren't.

Especially my girlfriend's friends.

They send voice notes up to 8 minutes long and who's got time for that?

What's more, she listens to it and starts typing a reply, but then she has to replay the second part of the voice note again so she can reply to that bit.

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

I want to sip my espresso in peace! 😅

But it did get me thinking...

The real problem with voice notes is the sender is often not clear and concise, so they waffle... a lot. Mixed up in all that waffle is the information you really want.

And this is relevant to your email marketing and any of the copy you write for your store, to be honest.

Clarity wins in copywriting. A clear, concise message that tells your reader exactly what to do next wins every time. Adding multiple call to actions to an email or social post will only confuse the reader.

A great rule to follow is 1 post or email for 1 outcome.

If you're sending an email to promote one product, focus on driving the clicks to that product only.

Try it this week and let me know how it goes by replying to this email.
